Earth Day Activities for All

Earth Day is Saturday, April 22, 2023. You can find out more information about Earth Day from earthday.org.

Did you know that the first Earth Day occurred in 1970. Democrats and Republicans alike joined together to educate people about protecting the environment. The first organized Earth Day brought more than 20 million Americans to demonstrate against the impacts of industrial development, which was (and is) impacting peoples' health in serious ways.

Today more than a billion people worldwide observe Earth Day. The purpose of Earth Day is "empowering individuals with the information, the tools, the messaging, and the communities needed to make an impact and drive change."
